Good Job, Ben!

The 4th Grade put on a wonderful program about the great state of Utah this week. Ben did such a wonderful job. He nailed his speaking part, he was a fabulous catholic priest/explorer, and danced like nobody's business! Here's a few pictures.

We learned about the discovery of Utah, the native americans who first lived here, and the pioneers and their trek from the east. We heard all of the county names and one of Ben's classmates (of the Dakota tribe) even did a real tribal dance! The entire program was very interesting and informative! Good job, 4th Grade (Especially you, Ben)!

"About You, Mom"

"It's a word about you, Mom." Spencer said as we started our game of Hangman. My word was lame, "Crocodile." But Spencer's was so sweet, I just HAD to share it with you.

Isn't the spelling of the word so great? Jasen pointed out that if we took away the "i," the word would be "but full." Interesting.

Saturday Was Spring

Considering the fact that it's snowing outside, I wanted to share some strong evidence that it was actually warm outside recently and spring was here, if even for a day. We sidewalk chalked.

We drank Capri Suns.

We looked outstandingly adorable while posing with a bird nest. Well, Nicole really took the cake on that last one.

Happy Birthday You Two!

On Sunday night we celebrated Shazer and Walkyria's birthdays! We had a great time visiting, eating some italian food made by yours truly, and looking at slides from when they were all kids. It was a blast! I love Alfonso's family. They are so accepting of me and all my gringo-ness.

Salt N' Pepper Shakers

Here's Master Will admiring the bunny salt n' pepper shakers (purchased last spring at a lovely local shop, Amenities). I just have to share. . .

Domestickyness

I used to declare myself to be domestically disabled. Well, times are a' changin' and I have attempted to enter the foreign world of domestickyness. Behold, my first quilt. Albeit a crooked table quilt that has only come to be due to the outstanding guidance and support of my friend Tamara and my mom, but a quilt nonetheless. The theme is "fall." The style is "beginner."

I'm so proud. It was fun. I want to do another one.

Message of Love

Many would look at these pictures and see fish stix and chicken noodle soup.

But I see that Alfonso loves me :)
