My New Job
I love my new job. Granted it is very different from the full-time job I traded it for. That the gender scale is still unbalanced however in the office I was surrounded by women, and now, I'm the only one around. Conversations that used to be about recipes and shopping, are now about Transformers, Bionicles, and farts. My hands look different. They were usually only used for typing and receiving manicures. Now they are dry and rough, from actually being used. Yep, my new job is definately different. The company is different. The wages are different. My coworkers smell different. My job description has vastly lenthened and my hours have greatly increased. By those standards, one may say that I've really backstepped on the ladder of success. But I get to build something intangible. I get to witness everyday miracles of self discovery. I get to feed, clothe, teach and encourage boys who will one day be great men. Being a full-time mom? It's an awesome job.

OOOohhhhh!! I LOVE this post!! I can't wait until the day when this is my full time job too! Love you!
Rochelle- you are awesome- stay at home mom is insanity and the ultimate happiness all wrapped in one. Your family is so cute and I absolutely love your poll. Did you like how I stole your widget witch- what can I say- you're the best.
Wahooo...what a fun job! being a mom..it's what all of us inspire to be from when we are little.
Rochelle, I was the first one to turn on my Christmas music on 11/1/08. That is something that I look forward to all year. I like to refer to it as holiday music! I was actually wondering if you could burn me 5 million Christmas songs again? The cd's you made a few years ago got destroyed in Brandons head on collision with the cow back in march. If you could that would be super! I will call you about it.-Karley
What a great commentary on the differences of working with men and women.I can't wait to really catch up with you, but I'm loviong catching up on here!
Ok, maybe I should have said the differences between working with grown ups and kids :-)
