NO Wii?!!!

It's official, I'm a mean mom. Recently, the boys' FAVORITE thing to do is play Lego Star Wars on our Wii. Last night each one of the kids did something wreckless that merited disciplinary action. After talking it over, Alfonso and I decided to pull the plug, on the Wii that is, for a WHOLE WEEK!!! To be honest, it's nice to have a bargaining tool, but it's a good thing that I'm not running for the office of "Mom" because my numbers would have significantly dropped last night. Fortunately this isn't a popularity contest, it's real life. Today as the reality of this punishment set in, Will looked up at me with tears in his eyes and said, "You're the most rudest mom I ever had!" Ten minutes and a swig of A&W later, he said, "I love you, mom." I really like the length of his attention span.

Hmm I've yet to be told I'm the meanest or rudest mom. Maybe it's because I offer it on regular basis. It goes somthing like this...Mom can I have____? No. Why not? Cause I'm the meanest mom in the world. Although I have to say the length of attention span in Will helps. How bout the other boys? How are they fairing?

Does this also work this husbands and the wii?

Spencer and Ben are much less stubborn and are quicker to find other things to occupy their time. Will is still bitter. As far as husbands go, Karley, I think with Brandon's attention span you could definately get away with it ;)

The short attention span is helpful on the days you act younger than your own children!! thank goodness!!

It was a long week and I'm not sure exactly how many times I was sweetly asked, "Mooooooooom can I play Lego Star Warrrrrs?" Anyhoo, we survived!!! There IS life without Wii, it's just not nearly as fun :)

p.s. Molly, those enchiladas are on their way. How's December 4th?
